Evan Grant (of Dallas Morning News) named Texas Sportswriter of the Year
Dallas Morning News reporter Evan Grant has been named Texas Sportswriter of the Year by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association. He sounds like a humble guy to say the least:
“This state has a great tradition of colorful sportswriting, and I feel proud not only just to be part of the fraternity but also to be honored by my peers and the people I have so much respect for,” Grant said. “It makes it even more humbling.” Check out his column here
Some thing that Evan and all sports writers should do is stop calling baseball players hitters when they go to bat.They miss far more times than they hit. And the box score has AB. That doesnt mean at hit, It means at bat dont it?
