We don’t have a music page yet on Journalismnow, but we couldn’t let the day pass without mentioning how shocked & saddened we are about the death of Alex Chilton. Former lead singer of “The Box Tops”, and later a member of the 70’s power-pop group Big Star.
The Commercial Appeal in Memphis, TN (appropriately) first broke the story about Chilton’s passing this morning, and all we can say is the music speaks for itself….RIP Mr. Chilton, you will be missed. Here’s some links to the story:
